My winning image was taken in Xiang Sha Wan, Inner Mongolia, China. It shows the dunes of the Gobi desert, with the coal burning plants of Erdos City emitting plumes of (what exactly, I don't know). The title is "Meeting Our Needs" and fulfilled the theme of "Consumption".
The winning photographs will be on display during the month of April at the California Museum of Photography:
