On December 27th, 2010, I will board a plane in Denver, changing in LA, then Beijing, and finally to the city of Baotou, Inner Mongolia...
In Baotou, we drive some 60 miles south to a place called XiangShaWan, Erdos:

I will be bringing my photography portfolio, "Diptychs of Nature",  along with 10 other U.S. photographers, to the inaugural opening of a cultural arts center, "The Art Palace" in XiangShaWan.

In true Mongolian fashion, the Art Palace is really a giant yurt--measuring 100 meters long and 30 meters high--yikes!  I'll bet it's the largest yurt in the world, what do you think?

  1. You know that old saying, "Whenever you think you are in the biggest yurt, someone will know of a yurt that is bigger..." (Just kidding, Mo! Enjoy China!)
